I don’t know about you, but for me, there is nothing better than curling up in front of the fireplace with a cup of hot ginger peach tea and a book. I love to get lost in the pages and fantasize about the world I’m reading about. And at the end of each book I always wish there was a prologue to give me that extra chapter of literary goodness.
So in honor of my love of reading, I though my first printable would be book marks! Now, I know many out there have swapped to e-readers, even I own a kindle (which I love). But I still end up borrowing books from friends and relatives — and as a slightly anal retentive borrower — I HATE to bend a page as a bookmark. It damages the book and just really drives me bananas… So a bookmark is a handy thing to have around, even if I don’t need them for my kindle.
If your looking to really make this a fancy bookmark, head down to your local craft shop and buy some Velum paper. Velum is an awesome thick and transparent stock of paper — great for invitations, flyers, and of course, bookmarks! Add a ribbon and you’ve really got a nice piece to save your place! I’ve given you four different color schemes to use – go nuts! Use the red scheme on a murder mystery book and the teal scheme on your favorite beach read.
And remember, it’s like Ernest Hemingway said, “there is no friend as loyal as a book!”
